Here we are, another weekend closer to pumpkins-and-sweaters weather. Cool, crisp air and brightly turned leaves littering the sidewalks. Ah, I can hardly wait for the beauty and wildness of fall! In the meanwhile, here is your weekly round-up of interesting randomness from around the interwebs this week. Enjoy!
3 Pieces of Advice I Wish I Could Give My 23-year-old Self
Simple, yet oh-so-needed advice at 20. Or even now. Ahem. Some of us are
stubborn slow learners.
A Mystery Solved – Sort of – the WingDings Font
I’ve always wondered… I know you did, too. What on earth is that font supposed to be used for, exactly? And does it really prove that someone hates Jews and NYC?
Furniture In a Box – and You’ll Love It
This is not Target’s furniture-in-a-box. Or even Ikea. This is solid, yet beautiful. And ships to your door without the ridiculous $300 shipping fee Ikea will try to charge you for a $20, tiny, wall-mounted shelf. No, I’m not holding a grudge. I’m just saying.
This Adorable Hat
Hubby, aka the Norseman, and I have no idea if the soon-to-be-born baby will be a boy or girl. And we will love him or her just as dearly no matter what. But this adorable hat! If we have a boy, I do hope one of the dozen or so women I know having a baby here soon has a girl. Because this hat just begged to be made. And I did, with super soft grey angora wool. There is a little girl out there who needs to wear it. You should make it. It takes maybe two hours tops. Wanna see the one I made? Check Facebook! Or Instagram. Ahh, babies.
Something the Norseman Requested I Make
The Norseman loves tea. And popsicles. And coconut. So of course, he found these and requested them. And I have to say I’m intrigued…guess what’s going into the menu plan for September?
This house has got the Norseman and I excited. It’s soo cute! We could totally build one ourselves! And it works great in any climate, to include Alaska. Not that we would live in Alaska, but think of the possibilities…Okay, I’m done. But do go look at the cute pictures and dream away of charming cottages.
