*I’ve changed up the Weekender’s formatting to allow me more time to work on other posts, since my writing time is very limited these days. I hope you like the new design!
Here is this weekend’s roundup from around the interwebs – have a great weekend!
If you believe that everything could be made better with a little chocolate, as do the Norseman and I then you may want to check out this company. I read about them and how amazingly delicious their chocolate tastes on its own, and just knew that I wanted to try it. However, premium chocolate is pricey, so it is something I will only purchase on special occasions. Like Christmas. Or my birthday. 😀
I realize that I am really new to this whole mom thing. But I know that I do not want my life or identity wholly wrapped up in my child(ren.) I am first a child of God, second a wife, and then third, a mother. And yet, because I know myself, I realize this will be difficult for me to remember. And that is why I read The Better Mom in the first place. She writes gentle encouragement and reproof that I definitely need.
I love taking personality quizzes. I enjoy learning more about why I’m inclined to do the things or think the way I do. Sometimes they are very insightful and other times they seem really off. Regardless, I plan to dive into these this weekend, just for fun, and see if I can learn anything new.
I love to date my husband, the Norseman. Partly because we were a very long distance couple and rarely went on in-person dates, partly because I realize it is the key to a thriving marriage, and very partly because I love him to pieces. I don’t remember where I came across these things called DateCrates recently, but they look like a fun way to change things up every once in awhile. I have my eye on a few for next year, including Latte Love, Puppy Love, and Sushi Master. *Helpful hint – you have to order by the 15th of the current month in order to get a DateCrate for the following month. That means only three days left this month!
