This is another simple one, yet so often neglected in *ahem* my house. Yes, I hate, hate to clean the bathroom. But once it’s done (and it never takes that long) – aaaahhhh. Nothing like a clean toilet seat and spit-free mirror. Not a thing. So, grab a trash can. Go through all of your products. Expired? Toss it. Never use it? Got a sister or BFF that would love it? Give it away. Have 3 bottles of lotion you’ve never, ever used? Set them aside to be used in a gift. But ONLY if they are unopened. Because otherwise that would be gross. You can also donate unused items to a local shelter, women’s pregnancy center, or church. But if you will be donating them, put them in a bag, and get them out of the house by the end of the week. Otherwise they will clutter it back up. Don’t forget, now!
And while you’re in a cleaning mood, grab some paper towels, a rag or sponge, glass cleaner, and bathroom cleaner. Get that bathroom scrubbed down. I promise, if you just start, it will be done in no time. See, easy, wasn’t it? Don’t forget the motivational music! Because sometimes, you just really need it. In fact, I really need it this week. Because my bathroom is starting to look sadly neglected, again. Guess I need a dose of my own advice, eh?
Honestly, what I need to do is create a cleaning schedule, daily vs. weekly, and actually use it. I’m great at creating things but not so much at implementing them. So maybe I’ll get a pretty cleaning printable all made up and share it with you all soon. But back on topic – this week, you must clean your bathroom. No excuses. And I promise, I’ll clean mine, too.
